Replacing all fossil fuel-based energy consumed worldwide with nuclear energy would require 1.2 million tons of uranium ore each year — a rate which would deplete uranium reserves in under five years.

Interesting info..

I heard somewhere that current nuclear fuel reserves will be sufficient for the coming 200 years. Not sure about the source (and even details ;) ) but I guess it also.. includes Thorium.
